Parsons Corporation Lead Engineer - Cost Control in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Engineer – Cost Control to join our team and support our client on a high-profile project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing cost-related aspects of the project, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints while maintaining quality and schedule requirements.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive cost control strategies to manage project budgets effectively.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to establish accurate cost estimates and forecasts.
Monitor project expenditures and analyze variances against budgeted costs on a regular basis.
Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations to optimize project performance.
Review change orders, contract modifications, and scope adjustments to assess their impact on project costs.
Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and financial summaries to communicate cost performance to stakeholders.
Conduct risk assessments and mitigation strategies to address potential cost overruns or delays.
Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure competitive pricing and cost-effective purchasing practices.
Utilize cost control software and tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
Mentor and train junior cost control staff to develop their skills and capabilities in cost management.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field.
Proven experience (minimum 18 years) in cost control or project controls within the construction industry and a minimum 5yrs+ experience in GCC (KSA experience ideally).
Proficiency in cost control software and tools such as Primavera, CostOS, or equivalent.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of driving results and meeting project objectives.
Professional certifications such as Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are a plus.
