Parsons Corporation Manager - Risk Management in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Job Description:

We are excited to be a part of delivering exceptional projects that enrich communities and stand as iconic landmarks. Currently, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manager - Risk Management to join our team in supporting our client in the delivery of a state-of-the-art opera house.

What You'll Be Doing:

The Manager - Risk Management , a vital component of the Project Controls Department, is responsible for the identification, analysis, and mitigation of risks that could impact the project's scope, timeline, and cost. Duties include establishing a risk management framework, conducting qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, and developing risk response strategies. This role will work closely with team members across all departments to communicate potential risks and recommend precautionary measures or contingency plans. The Risk Manager will also monitor the effectiveness of risk mitigation actions and adjust strategies as necessary throughout the project lifecycle. The Risk Manager creates regular reports for the Projects Management and advice for critical decision making. This role reports to the Project Controls Director. Critical thinking, excellent problem-solving abilities, and expertise in risk management methodologies are key requirements for this role.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management (or related field)

  • 15+ years of related experience, including supervisory/managerial having worked as the risk manager on large-scale construction projects in KSA and/or the Middle East, and international is required.

  • Experience maintaining risk management databases and of risk management procedures with demonstrated skills in risk identification, risk transfer and risk retention techniques.

  • Must have thorough knowledge of engineering design development, construction practices, economic principles, international codes, standards, procedures and specifications.

  • Must have previous experience of risk quantification (cost / schedule / quality / safety) and the reliability and initiative to deliver success without immediate supervision.
