Job Description:
A brief summary of the responsibilities of the position
The QAHSE Manager ensures on behalf of JCPDI Port Authority, that Health, Safety & Environment procedures are communicated and followed within the team working within the Port Area and under the Port Operator operations. The HSE Port Officer will provide HSE support to site/facility management during Toolbox Talks, internal and external HSE inspections and daily meetings to assure all activities are fully under regulations.
Major Activities Performed:
To report incidents and support the management in managing these incidents and taking the necessary corrective/preventive actions. Implement COAP.
Analyze daily JSA, PTW, PPE, and all weekly and monthly reports, data, graphics and observations.
Collect, validate and respond to HSE official data.
Ensure compliance to HSE legislations.
To review, and revise when required, documents in support of the HSE Management System.
Ensure close collaboration with our customers and other stakeholders on HSE matters.
Support and advise the operators on HSE matters.
Ensure that Emergency Response Plans are established and maintained.
Ensure that emergency drills are performed according to our management system.
Continuously review the company Safe Systems of Work in order to deliver improvement.
Provide coaching to personnel to raise HSE awareness and improve the HSE culture.
Conduct contractor reviews as required.
Carry out site inspections, audits and port QA/HSE inspections and act under its responsibility.
Experience and Qualifications:
Candidate should have relevant education with HSE.
Candidate should have at least 8 years’ experience in Port, maritime or base environment.
Candidate should have experience with HSE policies overseas.
Have knowledge of Risk Assessment practices, COSHH and the implementation of appropriate control processes.
Ability to interpret legislation wording and convert this to useful local procedures.
Candidate should have wind industry experience.
Good English language skills including reading, writing and speaking.
Computer literate with experience using MS Office packages (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access and Power Point Presentation).
