Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Roads And Traffic Engineer to join our team! In this role . This position is responsible for providing efficient operations and maintenance of roads and establishing traffic structure for the Operation and Maintenance Department.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Provides road engineering input to related projects and programs – both O&M projects and other major works programs as managed by other RC departments.

  • Coordinates road activities with the activities of other disciplines.

  • Prepares technical specifications and scope of work descriptions for O&M and minor works.

  • Prepares Request for Proposal (RFP) documents with design concepts for minor works

  • Provides technical assistance during pre-bid activities, proposal evaluations, and post-award or other contract activities for minor works.

  • Reviews contractor design drawings, specifications, calculations and related submittals and coordinates with the work of other disciplines and prepare written reports and review comments. All in association with minor works

  • Monitors contractor performance and adherence to contracts and standards during construction of minor works.

  • In association with senior managers will provide recommendations for acceptance and handover of completed works from contractors.

  • Investigation problems and issues that arise in the RC owned roads that are under the responsibility of the O&M department. Provide reports detailing these investigations with suitable recommendations.

  • Performs field inspections and provides professional field support as necessary during construction phases.

  • Prepares technical correspondence, reports, and studies. The studies will be used by RC to inform future project decisions.

  • Prepares O&M plans for all roading assets and implements in coordination with other departments and as instructed.

  • Manages and Monitors all related maintenance activities including auditing and reporting as required.

  • Plan, design, and implement road infrastructure projects.

  • Conduct studies and surveys to assess traffic patterns and identify areas for improvement.

  • Coordinate with external stakeholders such as government agencies, contractors, and consultants.

  • Monitor and analyze traffic data to identify trends and make recommendations.

  • Develop and implement traffic management plans for construction projects.

  • Evaluate and recommend traffic control devices and systems.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.

  • Review and approve traffic impact assessments for new developments.

  • Conduct road safety audits and implement measures to enhance safety.

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of roads, signs, signals, and pavement markings.

  • Prepare and manage budgets, contracts, and procurement processes related to road operations and maintenance.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Candidate should hold Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferably in Civil or related field.

  • Candidate should have a minimum of (15) years of experience.

  • Strong knowledge of traffic management principles and regulations.

  • Experience in the planning, design, and construction of road infrastructure projects.
