Parsons Corporation Technical Support Unit Supervisor (Design Interface) in Jizan, Saudi Arabia
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Technical Support Unit Supervisor to join our team! In this role you will responsible for activities within the Technical Support Unit (TSU) in Construction Department. Organizes and coordinates assignments .
What You'll Be Doing:
Manage all activities within the Technical Support Unit in the Construction Department, establishing and managing the team of discipline engineers
Maintains continuous contact with Engineering Department and manages the 30%, 60% & 90% reviews of all technical documentation for new projects
Ensure compliance with RC Construction unified procedures, and with Engineering Department Unified Procedures with Construction Department interface
Provides technical/expert support to construction teams regarding all technical queries & Field Change Document processing including coordination with Engineering Department on responses / solutions
Conducts Annual Performance Reviews for direct reports, and manages, reviews, and approves performance reviews prepared by supervisors, Holds career development discussions.
Reviews unusual or complex technical problems, provides guidance for their solution either personally, by subordinate staff, or in coordination with RC Engineering Department
Maintains knowledge of new developments in the section through technical literature, and by contacts within and outside Royal Commission.
Champions within the Section the creation of a work environment supported by leadership, which fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork and empowerment.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s Degree (B. Sc.) in Engineering (advance degree, M. Sc. is preferred) or Architectural Degree from a Western University.
Extensive progressive work experience (12-15 years), including design management, preferably on large programs and EPC projects.
Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of design, systems, calculations, applications of methods, materials, and the use of computers and 2-D and 3-D computer aided design (CAD) automation & BIM within the Section.
Knowledge of industry and regulatory codes and standards, and design criteria used in the department.
Knowledge of Technical or Design Office activities and administrative practices.
Knowledge of practices and procedures for project controls, construction, procurement, quality assurance, environmental safety & health, of the EPC and Design-Bid-Build businesses, and of the proposal and bid processes.
Time management, interpersonal skills, advanced knowledge in English - Spoken and Written and skilled in oral and written communication (English).
Registration as a Professional Engineer is desirable
The ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English is essential
Fluent use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Power Point and Project.
