Job Description:

Parsons is seeking an ambitious Sr. Project Control Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to participate in the delivery of leading-edge infrastructure projects, working closely with the project managers by implementing efficient project control practices.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Cost Engineering: Assist with the development and management of the cost control systems to provide project and company management with accurate financial information. Facilitates the development of the work breakdown structure (WBS), interfacing with Procurement, Engineering, and Finance Departments as needed.· Perform some independent analysis of data stored in the project management and cost control systems. Creates presentations using graphs, diagrams, and other exhibits to illustrate cost status.

  • Planning and Scheduling: Implement and maintain Project Planning and Scheduling.Understand and apply engineering, procurement, and construction terminology, concepts, and relationships.Develop and maintain less complex critical path logic networks and bar charts utilizing this information.Analyze, evaluate, and forecast current status against an established baseline schedule.Assess the impact(s) of design or construction changes and schedule slippages.Report schedule status to all levels of project and Company management as well as to the Client.

  • Earned Value: Implement and maintain an Earned Value Management System on projects.Analyze cost and schedule performance indicators (CPI and SPI).Prepare and maintains project forecasts and status updates.Provide assessment with corrective action recommendations to management.

  • Other Duties: Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance to others in the resolution of project control problems. Perform other project specific functions and responsibilities associated with this position as appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience) with 4+ years of relevant work experience.

  • Proficiency in P6, MS Project, Critical Path Methodology (CPM).

  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management Systems, specifically with CPI, SPI, and S-Curves metrics.

  • Knowledge of Cost and Schedule Management principles.

  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders.

  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and reporting.

  • Familiarity with Power BI reporting an asset

Salary Range:

$31.97 - $59.52
