Parsons is adding a Project Manager/Sr. Project Manager to lead roadway work in Las Vegas, Nevada as part of our Mountains/Desert Region, comprised of people in projects in Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, and Utah . We have had many recent exciting wins with the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT), City of Las Vegas, and Clark County Public Works (CCPW), including safety and multimodal projects. Through our recent work, we increased our rankings by 6 positions on the 2022-2023 CCPW SOQ for Streets and Road Repair! We need additional support for these varied and exciting projects and help us expand our foothold with our clients. We offer the flexibility to work remotely initially, but we look forward to when we can work together in our Las Vegas office. Our new Project Manager will lead roadway and traffic safety projects for NDOT, the Cities of Las Vegas and Henderson, Clark County Public Works, and the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTCSNV) . Being a PM at Parsons means you have responsibility, authority, and the best team of engineers working on your projects. In this role, you will be responsible for scope, schedule, budget, as well as business development activities for small to large projects. Our project managers generally oversee project teams ranging in size from 4 to more than 20 professionals and projects with construction values ranging from $5M - $100M.

Responsibilities:

  • In this role, you will oversee and manage civil design for road, highway, arterial and collector street projects as a project manager and engineer of record.

  • Develop project scope, schedule, and budget adherence from design through construction.

  • Ensure the highest quality engineering is put forth to meet all design requirements.

  • Lead or participate in pursuit strategies and proposal preparation.

  • Participate in business development activities and marketing events.

  • Identify new opportunities with your current contacts in the region and help grow the business.

  • Take leadership roles in professional organizations.

  • Recruit, mentor, retain and develop top industry talent to enhance the current high-performance culture.

Requirements:

  • BS Degree in Civil Engineering and 12 years or more of related engineering design management experience with road/highway/interchange projects

  • Experience on NDOT, City of Las Vegas and/or Clark County projects is projects required.

  • Nevada PE required, or ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire

  • Proven ability to manage projects, interface with clients, and enjoy being hands-on technically in a project

  • Experience in Microstation, InRoads/Open Roads Designer and/or AutoCAD and Civil3D is required.
