Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Operations Engineer​ to join our team in NEOM. Parsons is providing Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services for the development of NEOM Infrastructure in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. NEOM is a planned cross-border city in the Tabuk Province of northwestern Saudi Arabia. The site is near the Red Sea and the borders of Egypt, Israel, and Jordan. It will cover a total area of 26,500 km2 (10,200 sq mi) and will extend 460 km along the coast of the Red Sea.

We are seeking a talented and motivated Research & Innovation Operations Engineer to join our team. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation and implementation of research and innovation projects on NEOM The Line. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and experience in project management and coordination

You will oversee the operational and technical aspects of research and innovation projects. Ensure project timelines and budgets are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality. Support the develop and implement project management processes to ensure efficiency and effective communication. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, manage resources, and identify and resolve project issues.

Work with cross-functional teams including product management, development, and quality assurance to identify and prioritize infrastructure needs. Maintain and update project management tools and systems to track progress and ensure accountability. Communicate project status and progress to stakeholders, including the R&I team and senior leadership.

Manage relationships with external vendors and partners as needed. Develop and implement infrastructure solutions that meet the demands of the R&I team. Ensure high availability and reliability of our infrastructure and services through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and scaling. Automate infrastructure deployment and management processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues in a timely manner. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in cloud computing and infrastructure operations.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Prior years of experience in project management and operations, with a focus on research and innovation projects.

Strong technical background and understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).

• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience with project management software and tools (Jira, Asana, Trello, etc.).

• Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and resolve project issues.

• Knowledge of industry-specific best practices related to Research & Innovation projects.
