Job Description:

We are looking for a dynamic Capture Manager to join our business acquisition team who can provide strategic direction and tactical captures for local infrastructure markets in the Greater Toronto Region, as well as across Canada.

As a Senior Capture Manager, you will champion the development and delivery of strategic proposals, qualifications, and other business development/pre-positioning collateral for projects in various local critical infrastructure markets, including transportation/transit, structures, and water. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding to all phases and aspects of capture management & business development, including contract terminology, technical scope of work, teaming strategies, competitive pricing, client/business negotiations, as well as the ability to recognize and act upon new opportunities which relate to our corporate people and projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive capture strategies in partnership with operations, business development and disciplinary management teams to produce winning results.

  • Provide leadership and oversight to the development and preparation of major proposals, qualification statements, expressions of interest, presentations, and other business acquisition materials.

  • Perform detailed analysis of RFP/RFQ/RFI documents to assess requirements and develop compelling proposal narratives and pricing strategies that demonstrate our value proposition.

  • Identify opportunities that drive new business growth from Identification through to Award.

  • Foster team collaboration and bring new differentiated solutions to clients.

  • Strong client relationships and ability to interface at all levels within client organizations

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of diversified consulting experience, primarily within business development in the realm of a large, multinational company

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or Business-related field

  • A track record of successful captures and proposal submissions with proven results in the development and execution of capture plans

  • Understands the GTA market and customer base and takes accountability to drive new opportunities which promote the Company’s expertise and successful past performance.

  • Familiar with contract terminology and provisions, proposal pricing, negotiations, and ability to adapt them for new work as appropriate.

  • Strong facilitation, leadership, and communication skills to lead capture teams through the entire pursuit lifecycle.

  • Ability to multitask, supporting multiple projects at once and quickly shifting priorities.

  • Salesforce/CRM experience is an asset; this can be taught to the successful candidate.

  • Excellent written, interpersonal, and communication skills (ability to write executive summaries, cover letters and other technical and non-technical sections).
