Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an entry level Engineer to join our team on a part-time basis! In this role you will support the Los Angeles World Airports Capital Improvement projects between 20 and 40 hours a week (estimated).

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Work alongside a multi-disciplined team of planners, architects, engineers, construction managers, property managers, and other professionals in a collaborative environment

  • Perform records-research, field investigations, and stakeholder outreach to verify and document existing conditions

  • Develop high-quality maps, diagrams, drawings, renderings, and other work-products to support the planning, design, operations, and maintenance of airport facilities

  • Develop tools, templates, and standards to innovate and improve our processes

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, and/or related field

  • Professional Certifications in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and/or Building Information Modeling (BIM) are highly desirable

  • Experience with Autodesk (CAD, Revit, etc.) and/or similar software is highly desirable

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Strong credentials & experience with Computer Aided Drafting (CAD), such as preparing single-line diagrams, floor-plans, and other drawings to reflect existing & proposed conditions (electrical, mechanical, structural, plumbing, etc.)

  • Some experience & knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Building Information Modeling (BIM), and other spatial-data systems

  • Some experience & knowledge of building systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, etc.)

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Excellent communication skills in a collaborative setting

Salary Range:

$25.34 - $51.49
