Parsons is serving as the Los Angeles World Airpor t(LAWA)’s owners representative the design-build for the multi-billion-dollar Landside Access Modernization Program (LAMP) which will transform the passenger and guest experience going to and from Los Angeles International Airport. In this role, you will be the Quality Manager supporting the LAMP on road and utilities improvements.Keys to your success will be your experience as a quality professional and abilities to facilitate contractor compliance with the quality standards of operations established contractually by LAWA. You will be responsible for quality administration including review, approval and direction of organizations, personnel, manual and audits.You must be able to produce quality documents.A background in large-scale transportation programs; experience with design-bid-build delivery methods; thorough knowledge of engineering/construction disciplines; and ability to read and interpret civil, structural, and utilities plans, and detailed shop drawings will be needed to be considered for this opportunity. The individual will report to LAWA’s Quality Manager.
Perform as an integrated member of LAWA’s Quality Assurance Construction Inspection Division providing direct support quality oversight support to the assigned program element.
Working closely collaboratively with LAWA’s Quality Assurance Program Manager, Element Managers and project management teams to achieve quality objectives and requirements.
Assist in the development of project specific test and inspection plans for quality control.
Develop QA/QC checklists for construction inspection and testing.
Assist contractors in development of project specific quality control program.
Receive, review, and approve contractor's quality control program and manual.
Conduct assessments, audits and surveillance inspections to evaluate the Contractors’ quality processes for conformance to contract requirements.
Review inspection reports
Receive and review all quality control reports from contractors for compliance, as appropriate.
Work with stakeholders to ensure proactive communications are continuous during construction
Ensure all actual QA/QC construction activities are fully documented and have viable procedures.
Develop and manage QA audit program processes for all levels, disciplines and phases of a program.
Record and assess compliance and activities of all contractors, designers and other parties involved.
Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related discipline.Graduate degree is desirable.
10+ years as a quality professional and 5+ years in quality in leadership or quality program management positions
Experience working at international airports is highly desirable
Background in construction and engineering and related quality programs.
