Parsons Corporation Junior Electrical Design/Drafter - Traffic/ITS in Markham, Ontario

We are looking for an Associate level Designer/Drafter to focus on electrical designs, for our rapidly expanding portfolio of projects, including the Edmonton LRT Extension MTO Highway 17.
We need our Designers at this level to complete the most complex and difficult designs and layouts for complete systems and components of a project. In this role you will start out completing simple routine drafting/design assignments. These may include tracing, markups, charts, tables, simple drawings to scale, freehand lettering, line work, and stacking tolerances for purposes of orientation and training. You will utilize samples, instruction, and established standards as a guide in transferring design information from market prints and sketches to preliminary or final drawings. You will also complete simple loop and logic diagrams using a CAD workstation. As you develop in this role, you will be involved with increasingly more detailed assignments. Keys to your success will be your willingness to learn, work in a team, and ability to develop your CAD skills.

May keep basic records.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Some drafting and related course work including basic mathematics
Basic PC skills and fundamentals of CAD are required.
