Are you seeking that next step to broaden your career scope, and work on large scale transportation projects in Ontario.
Parsons is now hiring for a Transportation Project Manager with demonstrated experience on road and highway projects in Ontario. You will perform a wide variety of engineering tasks for highway, rail, and transit projects from feasibility studies, preliminary engineering, and final design to report writing and development of construction contract documents. Candidate may perform in a task lead capacity and take responsibility for delivering assignments. Experience working with MTO projects is essential.
Core Responsibilities include:
Manage transportation focused projects and engineering tasks such as geometric design, engineering analyses, and project plan development.
Experience with design engineering of ramps and interchanges
Prepare engineering design plans, engineering computations, technical reports, specifications, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates.
Assist the project manager in executing and delivering project assignments.
Manages and communicates with internal team and external clients/agencies.
Plans, leads, and supervises junior level engineers on same assignments.
Lead and participate in project meetings as well as participate in site visits and field inspection as required.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
10+ years or more of experience working as a project engineer on highway and related fields.
MTO projects experience and knowledge of MTO standards, policies, and manuals.
Proficient in MicroStation and AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
Strong written and oral communications skills.
Ability to apply advanced engineering techniques and practices as well as solve complex engineering problems.
