Parsons is hiring a Senior Project Manager to lead our Transportation team. In this position, you will report to the VP of the East Central Area and will have the option to be based out of either Memphis or Nashville to join our team of engineers, well-versed in both traditional and design-build project delivery, supporting TDOT projects for the last 35 years.

As a “seller/doer," you will balance business development, direction and management of large/complex projects, and office management. You will be responsible for the management and oversight of our current roadway, traffic, bridge and construction inspection staff.
What You'll Be Doing:
Planning and coordinating engineering resources to execute projects for Tennessee and other nearby states
Directing and coaching civil and structural engineers, designers, planners executing projects for roadway and bridge design
Ensure designs are in accordance with approved practices and procedures
Create a challenging professional environment of innovation, opportunity, development and continuous improvement
Recruit, mentor, retain and develop top industry talent
Monitor productivity and technical proficiency of assigned project teams
Manage scope/schedule and budget of projects & office budget
Assist with proposal development and responding to RFPs
Collaborate with Business Development Team to win and manage complex and major Transportation projects (Both traditional design & design-build)
Travel to client or project site locations occasionally, as necessary
What Required Skills/Experience You'll Bring:
PE licensure in TN
Experience on TDOT projects
15+ years of Civil and/or structural engineering experience in transportation
BS in Civil or Structural Engineering, Business or related degree is required
Proven ability to lead and deliver projects on time and as projected
Proven track record with project and staff management and inter-disciplinary coordination on large bridge and highway projects
What Desired Skills/Experience You'll Bring:
Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Adjacent state PE Licensure
