Concepteur en structures - Ponts et tunnels, Montréal

  • Pont haubané Olivier-Charbonneau;

  • Échangeur Turcot, dont le pont haubané du canal de Lachine;

  • Évaluations sismiques des ponts Jacques-Cartier, Clément, Honoré-Mercier, Alexandra (Ottawa) et Prince-of-Wales (Ottawa);

  • Réfection majeure du tunnel LH La Fontaine et et des tunnels Ville-Marie et Viger;

  • Déconstruction du pont Champlain, etc.

Actuellement, l’équipe de Ponts et Tunnels est à la recherche d'un Concepteur en structures - Ponts et tunnels pour se joindre à notre bureau de Montréal.

Idéalement vous avez :

  • Baccalauréat en génie civil avec spécialisation en structures

  • Maîtrise en structure privilégiée

  • 0 à 5 années d'expérience professionnelle en conception de ponts et tunnels

  • Membre de l’Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) ou éligible à devenir membre de l’OIQ

  • Connaissance des normes de ponts (CAN/CSA-S6) et des logiciels d'analyse structurale (SAP, CSiBridge, ADA, etc.) est un atout

  • Les certifications du MTQ (conception, inspection, entretien, construction et réparation des structures, etc.) sont un atout

La connaissance du français est requise pour les postes situés en permanence au Québec afin que le titulaire puisse communiquer au besoin avec ses collègues et partenaires au Québec. Une formation en français est offerte à tout titulaire d’un poste permanent au Québec qui ne possède pas une bonne connaissance du français.

Autre exigence linguistique

La maîtrise de l’anglais est requise pour ce poste afin de communiquer avec les collègues, les clients et les partenaires (ou les fournisseurs) situés à l’extérieur du Québec, et de comprendre la documentation technique et scientifique disponible dans le domaine de notre industrie.

  • Agir à titre de concepteur en structures dans des projets diversifiés de conception et de réfection de ponts et tunnels.

  • Participer à la préparation des livrables (études d’opportunité et d’avant-projets, évaluations de capacité portante, évaluations sismiques, analyses structurales, plans, devis, estimations et échéancier des travaux, etc.).

  • Assurer une conception coordonnée en travaillant en étroite collaboration avec d'autres ingénieurs et techniciens.

  • Assurer la conformité des livrables en s’appuyant sur les manuels techniques, les politiques internes de l'entreprise, ainsi que les normes et codes applicables.

  • Exécuter d'autres activités d’ingénierie associées à ce poste, au besoin.

Structural Designer– Bridges and Tunnels, Montreal

  • Cable-stayed bridge Olivier-Charbonneau

  • Turcot Interchange, including the cable-stayed bridge over the Lachine Canal

  • Seismic assessments of the Jacques-Cartier, Clément, Honoré-Mercier, Alexandra (Ottawa) and Prince-of-Wales (Ottawa) bridges

  • Major repair of the LH La Fontaine tunnel and the Ville-Marie and Viger tunnels

  • Deconstruction of the Champlain Bridge

Currently, the Bridges and Tunnels Team is looking for a Structural Designer - Bridges and Tunnels to join our Montreal office.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering with specialization in structures

  • Masters in structural engineering strongly preferred

  • 0 to 5 years of professional experience in bridge and tunnel design

  • Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec or eligible to OIQ membership.

  • Advanced knowledge of bridge standards (including CAN/CSA-S6) and structural analysis software (SAP, CSiBridge, ADA, etc.)

  • MTQ certifications (design, inspection, maintenance, construction and repair of structures, etc.) are an asset

Knowledge of French is required for positions permanently located in Quebec so incumbents can communicate with their colleagues and partners in Quebec as necessary. French-language training is offered to all incumbents in permanent positions in Quebec who do not have a good knowledge of French.

Other language requirement

Fluent English is required for this position in order to communicate with colleagues, clients and partners (or suppliers) located outside Quebec and to understand the technical and scientific documentation used in our industry.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Act as structural designer for bridge and tunnel design and repair projects.

  • Participate in the preparation of deliverables (feasibility and preliminary-design studies, bearing capacity assessments, seismic assessments, structural analyzes, plans, specifications, estimates and work schedules, etc.).

  • Work closely with fellow engineers and technicians to provide coordinated designs.

  • Ensure that deliverables are in conformance to technical guides, company’s standards as well as applicable codes.

  • Perform other engineering activities associated with this position, as needed.
