Job Description:

An Intermediate Railway Engineer will support a multidisciplinary team of engineers and architects to ensure the delivery of a high-quality design for our clients while adhering to technical requirements, schedule, and commercial objectives. Our projects consist of rail corridor widenings, track geometry optimization, special track of work, guideways, rail bridges, rail system, at-grade and underground stations, maintenance facilities and yard design for LRT and freight train projects.

About the role:

  • Experience in railway track design from concept to detailed design - vertical and horizontal alignments… etc.

  • Trackwork and alignment design development.

  • Prepare 2D and 3D design calculations, drawings, and specifications.

  • Experience with DTM surfaces, grading and drainage design is a plus.

  • Proficiency with Autocad, Revit but most importantly has worked on Civil 3D.

  • Familiar with Railway industry standards such as AREMA, TCRP, MTQ, CP, CN …etc

  • Experience with working for engineering consultant company within the rail and transit sector

  • Ensuring that the projects evolution is met in a timely and effective manner.

  • Construction administration and review to ensure adherence to contract documents.

  • Liaison with team members, clients, and agencies.

  • Manage and lead meetings, produce meeting minutes.

  • Assisting to technical reports preparation.

  • Coordination with project managers, engineers and supervising discipline designers and drafters within the team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or master degree in civil engineering

  • Experience related to design and construction for large site development projects, transit infrastructure, including but not limited to transit stations, track, signals, bridges, grade separations, and LRT projects.

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience.

  • Member of OIQ

  • Experience with commuter and heavy rail design.

  • Experience in AutoCAD / MicroStation and 3D CAD using Civil3D and / or InRoads design software.

  • Experience in the preparation of design drawings and tender documents

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Un ingénieur ferroviaire intermédiaire soutiendra une équipe multidisciplinaire d’ingénieurs et d’architectes pour assurer la prestation d’une conception de haute qualité pour nos clients tout en respectant les exigences techniques, le calendrier et les objectifs commerciaux. Nos projets comprennent l’élargissement du corridor ferroviaire, l’optimisation de la géométrie de la voie, les appareils de voies spéciaux, les voies constituées, les ponts ferroviaires, le réseau ferroviaire, les stations au sol et souterraines, centre de la maintenance et la conception de la cour de triage pour les projets de train léger et de train de marchandises.

À propos du poste:

• Expérience de la conception de voies ferrées, du concept à la conception détaillée - alignements verticaux et horizontaux, etc.

• Développement du suivi et de la conception de l’alignement.

• Préparer les calculs, les dessins et les spécifications de conception 2D et 3D.

• Expérience des surfaces DTM, du nivellement et de la conception du drainage appréciée.

• Maîtrise d’Autocad, de Revit, mais surtout de Civil 3D.

• Connaissance des normes de l’industrie ferroviaire comme AREMA, TCRP, MTQ, CP, CN, etc.

• Expérience professionnelle au sein d’une société de conseil en ingénierie dans le secteur ferroviaire et du transport en commun

• Assurer de l’évolution des projets en respectant du délai avec une manière d’efficacité

• Administration et revu de la construction pour assurer le respect des documents contractuels.

• Assurer la liaison avec les membres de l’équipe, les clients et les organismes.

• Gérer et diriger les réunions, rédiger les notes des réunions.

• Participer à la préparation des rapports techniques.

• Assurer la coordination avec les gestionnaires des projets, les ingénieurs et les concepteurs et dessinateurs de disciplines au sein de l’équipe.

Idéalement:

• BAC ou maitrise en génie civil

• Expérience de la conception et de la construction de grands projets d’aménagement, d’infrastructures de transport en commun, y compris, mais sans s’y limiter, les stations de transport en commun, les voies, les signaux, les ponts, passage à niveau et les projets de LRT.

• Au moins 5 ans d’expérience.

• Membre de l’OIQ

• Expérience de la conception de trains léger et de trains lourds.

• Expérience de l’utilisation de logiciels de conception Civil3D/ AutoCAD et MicroStation.

• Expérience de la préparation de dessins de la conception et de documents d’appel d’offres

• Capacité à travailler avec un minimum de supervision.
