Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Associate Environmental Geologist to join our team!
What You'll Be Doing:
Performs various field and office tasks requiring the application of basic geological principles and fundamental theories.
Applies available data pertinent to geology and/or hydrogeology, accurately describing and classifying various types of soil and rock samples.
Provides technical guidance for stratigraphic and groundwater drilling programs.
Conducts soil, surface water, groundwater, and sediment sampling programs.
Assists in identifying various types of soil and rock, land forms, and geological processes for use in geological mapping and in performing basic geologic analyses.
Assists in geologic report preparation, including preparation of cross sections and compilation of environmental sample analyses.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Geology or related field

Familiarity of computer software applications, typically used in geological analyses (e.g., spreadsheets, CAD, aquifer test analysis, etc.)
Effective problem solving and analytical skills
Effective organizational and time management skills
Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and make recommendations
Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Exposure to environmental rules and regulations

Salary Range:
$18.61 - $32.55
