Parsons is now hiring an IT Engineering Support Analyst with a desire to work in a support role alongside the Project Manager on various IT projects that enhance the urban fabric of our community in New York, NY.

The Project Configuration Management will workas directed by the Systems Configuration Manager to provide CM and Asset Management support for CM project resources. Execute CM/AM activities at the project level to ensure that project deliverables are released in accordance with customer and Parsons’ requirements.


1.Implement CM/AM project processes utilizing the standard IBM‐Rational Tool Suite.

2.Maintain the asset management database ensuring that real‐time data (Queries) is accessible for project team and customers.

3.Receive and audit all equipment delivery paperwork from fields teams and suppliers

  1. Evaluate the validity and acceptability of asset data submitted for import.

5.Ready the database for equipment imports.

  1. Manage field data and location imports.

7.Perform imports/exports, as required, by project.

8.Assist the Systems Integrator and Requirements Analyst in the use of the Collaborative Environment.

9.Develop reports in RPE and Crystal Reports for project team.

10.Deliver and/or publish CM/AM reports.

11.Assist CM Manager with Change Control Board meetings, including database updates, agendas, reports, System Change requests, Discrepancy Reports and System Problem Reports.

12.Provide IBM‐Rational Tool training for project team members.

13.Provide CM process support, as required.

14.Perform database desk audits.

15.Develop forms for project use in ClearQuest Designer.

16.Complete customizations and modifications in ClearQuest Designer.

17.Manager user accounts for the IBM‐Rational Tool Suite.

18.Support IBM‐Rational Tool Suite Architect, as required.

19.Provide support to CM Manager during Physical Configuration Audits, Functional Configuration Audits, Product Breakdown Structure development.

20.Ensure that project tool implementations follow Parsons IBM‐Rational Tool Suite Standardization Policy.


  • 2-year degree or 4-year degree in Computer Science, information systems, engineering or related technical discipline, with experience in both engineering and IT.

  • 2-4 years of progressive experience working in one or more of the following areas: engineering, design, architecture, application systems (E.g., ProjectWise™, CAD).

  • Recommended: Vendor certifications (E.g, Autodesk, Bentley, Intergraph and ESRI). Microsoft Windows Operating systems (E.g., Microsoft Certified Engineer), SQL or similar certifications.

  • Knowledge of advanced computer hardware, such as 2D and 3D workstations utilized for engineering and design.

  • Working knowledge of computer-aided engineering, tools and methodology

  • General knowledge of engineering and design applications such as AutoCAD, Microstation, ProjectWise™.

  • A familiarity with software deployment tools such as ParStream™.

  • Problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a technical ES team.

  • Written and oral communication skills appropriate for the position, including the ability to speak well in basic professional situations (may include communication via telephone or in person). Ability to write basic documents (may include email or memos). Typically communicates with a limited group of individuals (employees and some managers) throughout the organization and may occasionally communicate with those outside of the organization (i.e. clients, vendors).
