Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented CAD/BIM Operator to join our team! In this role you will get to perform basic to moderately-difficult design/drafting assignments requiring a working knowledge of design/drafting standards, practices, and techniques. Under the general direction of a higher-level Designer/Drafter, the incumbent at this level typically takes engineering notes, specifications, rough sketches, etc., and formalizes them into working drawings. Assignments are designed to develop a practical knowledge of equipment, facilities, and systems, and their interrelationships within a particular engineering discipline.
What You'll Be Doing:
Prepare/draft/update new and existing drawings and layouts as per engineers, client ideas, vision and requirements.
Responsible for the design of Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems.
Responsible for the proper documentation, storage and safekeeping of all drawings hard copy and soft copy.
Produce perspective drawings. Prepare graphical presentations and rendering.
Develop and design project presentations.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
2-year technical degree or certificate of completion from an accredited designer/drafter course (or equivalent)
2 - 5+ years of experience as CAD Designer for construction type of projects
Excellent drafting skills and abilities with all types of drawings (Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection).
Ability to interpret all types of drawings, layouts, etc.
Proficient use of advanced level Microsoft Office applications.
Must have experience in producing 2D & 3D drawings including BIM / Revit Capabilities.
Experience with AutoCAD Drafting (latest version) / and BIM.

Salary Range:
$32.88 - $68.56
