We are hiring an experienced Rail/Transit Program Manager to lead the execution of major Rail/Transit projects in the New York/New Jersey regions. We are one of the world's largest transportation planning, engineering, and construction firms. Our expertise encompasses all phases of transportation engineering operations - from the initial planning stage through final design, construction, and commissioning.
We are looking for a great leader to join our team; one that inspires loyalty and commitment and understands how to oversee and deliver rail/transit design/build projects. The successful candidate will be an effective 'seller/doer' who balances business development and project management responsibilities and office management for the team. We will be performing design and construction oversight for station renovations, elevators & escalators reconstruction, platform structure construction, tunneling and line structures renovations, other state of good repair work and track renovations. A working knowledge of systems, communications, traction owner is a plus. The selected candidate must have an in-depth knowledge of design and construction and will be our point of contact with the client. Past transit agency or rail company experience a plus.
In this role, you will be integral to helping execute existing work and developing new projects by assuring on-schedule completion, within or below, budget and in accordance with our contractual obligations. In addition to supervising Parsons' staff, you will build on our professional relationships with key subcontractors during the program execution. You will assign responsibility for executing project plans to key subordinates after careful assessment of how to utilize their qualifications and strengths. Your knowledge of the client's goals and objectives will be instrumental in discussing any changes to the scope of work or new projects, contracts with key subcontractors, and adherence to regulatory requirements. Keys to your success will be your knowledge of design and construction, ability to monitor our deliverables for adherence to client criteria as well as help execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of these programs.

4-year degree in Engineering (or related field)
15+ years of related project engineering and design experience with rail/transit structure
Design engineering experience with Rail/transit projects is required
Prefer experience with New York and New Jersey commuter rail and transit agencies
Broad general engineering background
Previous supervisory experience in a project engineering role is required
Professional registration required
Proven ability to perform in a supervisory capacity
Ability to become a Certified Parsons Project Manager within 3 years

The anticipated annualized full time target compensation (median) for this position is: $220,000.00.Benefits for this position include: medical, dental, vision, paid time off, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and 401K.
