Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Communication Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to become part of a major design/build Engineering Staff working with the largest Transit agencies in the Country.
What You'll Be Doing:
Define design requirements and use tools to track the design against client requirements
Ensure communication designs maximize coverage, capacity, efficiency and performance objectives
Managing all aspects of the design process -- use of design tools, implementation of design guidelines and calculations
Work effectively as part of a leadership team to ensure that design and deployment objectives, as well as timelines, are met
Work closely with outsourced vendors/contractors as needed to support communication systems (CCTV, RF/Radio, Access Control Systems, Fire Alarm, Telephone, Network, Fiber, SCADA and EMI/EMC). This includes conducting detailed design reviews to ensure that all network objectives are fulfilled for backhaul and RF coverage with the client
Assist with commissioning and field teams during site construction and commissioning
Plan and manage the market optimization process from commissioning to market launch
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related field)
8+ years of related work experience.
Professional Engineer registration highly recommended
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Proficiency in utilizing engineering PC software packages typically associated with communication systems examples include:
CCTV design tools for field of view
Amplifier calculations
RF modeling & propagation tools
Expert designing Network Architecture

Salary Range:
$81,500.00 - $161,400.00
