We have been a leader in Integrated design and delivery of civil infrastructure for more than 75 years and are looking for experienced Highway Design Project Manager's to add to our team in New York, including our Syracuse, Buffalo, and NYC offices. We have a great backlog of work, in both conventional and design/build project delivery and are looking for strong leaders with the ability to lead projects and mentor a team of engineers and designers.
We are seeking Senior Project Managers for the landmark NYSDOT I-81 Viaduct Project. This $2.0B project, the biggest in NYSDOT's history, is changing the fabric of Central New York. We are looking to add three Senior Project Managers to this landmark project.
Parsons Project Managers demonstrate technical excellence in road/highway design and are thought leaders who deliver complex projects, without sacrificing schedule and budget! In this role, you will be responsible for scope development and management, client interface, and commercial performance of the project to meet project goals and objectives.
You will plan and define program goals and devises methods to accomplish them, through an in-depth knowledge of client objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies. This position will coordinate projects through all phases of project inception, programming, design, construction, and closeout.
The successful candidates can work from our offices in New York City, Buffalo, Syracuse, or Newark, and we are open to those who live elsewhere in New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut to work remotely from home, with travel to meetings in New York as needed.
Act as the Company representative with the client and subcontractors during the program execution.
Negotiate changes to the scope of work with the client and subcontractors. Following up on instructions and commitments associated with the project. Participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings in support of clients.
Oversee establishment of a Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan Documents.
Establish the program requirements for all areas of the project and monitor the draft and final deliverables for adherence to these criteria.
Plan direct, supervise, and control the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned project.
Promote technical and commercial excellence on the project through the application of Quality Assurance processes.
Monitor and report to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or schedule.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical/business field,
New York PE License is required
New York State DOT highway design experience is required.
15+ years of related highway design and leadership experience; design-build experience is a plus
Requires the ability to manage projects, interface with clients and enjoy working technically hands-on while leading a team of engineers on Parson's projects.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
The anticipated annualized full time target compensation (median) for this position is: $180,000.00.Benefits for this position include: medical, dental, vision, paid time off, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and 401K.
