We are looking for a Sr. Systems Engineer with experience in software quality assurance to support our projects in the southeast.
The Senior System Engineer is an experienced software quality assurance professional who will be in charge of developing, supporting and delivering automated testing strategies and solutions for large-scale applications. This role requires collaborating with business and technical staff to gather and analyze data, requirements, and test cases to help create greater test efficiency and coverage through test automation.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES :
Work with the engineering team to develop test approach, as well as create and execute the test plans.
Responsible for the architecture of test automation framework / solutions, determining current limitations and compatibilities between subsystems, the selection of new concepts and methodology.
Mature and evolve test architecture through the evaluation and adoption new automation tools, techniques and practices.
Develop and maintain test automation processes in alignment with the project and/or organization tools.Develop and maintain automation plans, frameworks, scripts and metrics for functional, regression and integration tests.
Automate test cases
Analyze failures and root cause issues, file defects, follow up on the resolution
Post-Development test execution, test automation code increment
Identifying bottlenecks and thresholds in existing code through use of automation tools
Responsible for the setup and management of any continuous testing initiatives
Provide framework and test case documentation and training.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
8+ years’ experience in commercial, enterprise-level development environment.
3+ years’ experience developing automated tests, using tools like Selenium WebDriver, or similar
3+ years of lead/senior software quality assurance experience in mid to large sized projects.
Ability to work in a lightweight process environment including requirements and test planning documentation.
Ability to quickly learn and practically apply new concepts, principles, products, technical and business knowledge.
Comfortable with and willing to initiate sharing knowledge and experiences to facilitate continuous improvement.
Ability and willingness to work on a collaborative geographically dispersed team in a cross-functional environment.
Experience testing applications including functional, integration, stress/performance and API testing.
Experience with Integration testing with systems external to the application under test.
Experience in automation and performance testing.
Experience working with open source and open source frameworks (TestNG, JUnit, JMeter, Selenium, etc.).
Experience working with commercial test tools such as WinRunner, LoadRunner, Quick Test Pro, etc.
Ability to read/write Java code in support of developing test automation and suites.
3+ years’ experience with a mainstream source code management tool, for example: Git, Subversion, Mercurial
Experience with a test case management tool (TestRail, TFS, etc.).
Experience with AWS or similar distributed cloud architecture (S3, EC2, and ECR in particular).
Experience with cross-browser compatibility testing.
Preferred experience with Selenium Grid, Subversion, Maven, Integrated Development Environment tool like: Eclipse or Microsoft Visual Studio.
Experience in / understanding of an agile, iterative, RUP or XP environments
