We (Parsons)are in search for an experienced Network Monitoring Analyst whom will apply technical and functional expertise to support computer network defense operations for large scale enterprise networks.Parsons, is an integrated security-solutions provider specializing in the electronic, information, communication, network, and cyber domains. Position Description:

  • As a Network Monitoring Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring server health across the enclave

  • Documenting outage information including actions taken to resolve the outage.

  • The Network Monitoring team monitors multiple server solutions which are a critical to the functionality of our users’ ability to perform their mission.

  • Monitor physical and virtual server performanceto achieve a defined Service Level Agreements or SLAs.

  • Monitor network services: File Servers, Print services, Active Directory, and DNS

  • Provide and maintain documentation of backup processes and retention periods

  • Provide and test backup and disaster recovery processes and procedures

  • Prepare and maintain written drawings, documentation, and reports

  • Work with vendors in the process of troubleshooting escalated incidents

  • Work with Network and Systems Administrators for troubleshooting incidents·

  • Maintain, configure and utilize new and existing monitoring tools such as, SolarWinds NPM, DPA, IPAM, Stratosphere, Topaz

Required Experience/Skills:

·Security+ CE certification(DoD 8570 Compliant)

·Candidate must be a US Citizen

·5 years’ experience supporting a DoD network

·Experience with design, development test evaluation, networkprotocols, LAN administration fundamentals, and UNIX and/or Windows based operating system

·Vendor certification such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), Microsoft Certified Applications Developer (MCAD), Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA), Sun Certified Professional (SCP), Red Hat Certification Program (RHCP), CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) preferred

·U.S. citizens ONLY due to government or federal requirement.

Education:

·ADegree is preferred (technical field), but not required; may hold bachelor’s degree
