Parsons is looking for an individual that is looking for a career that will challenge theirexperience and enable them to propel their career.We need a Subject Matter Expert (SME) Developerto be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to tackle new challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Possesses the ability to communicate technical knowledge and direction through briefs, requirements specifications, system design descriptions, test plans and reports, SOVTs, implementation plans and other documentation as well as participate in technical reviews of these deliverables.

  • Builds, secures, migrates, implements, and documents software and web development solutions in an environment that supports VMware hosting of Windows/Linux and other applications on an enterprise network that utilizes SAN technologies and BMC monitoring solutions.

  • Possesses the knowledge and ability to ensure systems are in compliance with DISA STIGs in addition to knowledge of performing ACAS scans.

  • Possesses the ability to work well, integrate, coordinate, and knowledge share with the STACC team.

  • Possesses the ability to provide recommendations to facilitate enhancements of existing technology through the use of the STACC Enterprise Change Request (ECR) process.

  • Draws from experience in Systems Development Life-Cycle Management (i.e., plan, analyze, design, implement, and maintain).

Required skill sets:

  • Experience writing technical documentation to support engineered solutions

  • Web Development/Web Services

  • Object-Oriented programming

  • Source Code management (SVN/Git)

  • Major Programming Languages (Bash, PHP, Oracle SQL, C#, JAVA, Python, etc...)

  • LAMP-Stack/Full-Stack Development (Graphics, Logic, Data)

  • Experience with service-oriented architecture (SOA)

  • Network monitoring system data protocols, Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and Netflow

  • Minimum DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II certification requirements

  • Proof of U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required due to government or federal requirement.

  • U.S. citizens ONLY due to government or federal requirement.

  • Applicants selected for employment will be subject to a federal background investigation and must meet additional eligibility requirements for access to classified information or materials.

Desired:

  • BMC Product suite (BAO queries) or similar

  • Comma Separated Value (CSV) adapters

  • Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP)

  • Database Schema/Query Optimization

  • Front-End/UX Design

  • Exposure to Agile development principles
