Members of the Software Support Activity (SSA) Product Life Cycle Support team assist in all duties related to DON Application and Database Management System (DADMS), DON IT Portfolio Repository (DITPR-DON), software licenses, hardware contractor renewals, the SSA Internal Repository, the software life cycle maintenance process, and various related data calls. Software and hardware assets are tracked by the Software Support Activity (SSA) for all systems. The SSA is responsible for tracking all 'operational' assets, including product details, asset specific information, site locations, fielded status, purpose, host name, classification, and corresponding support information.

Responsibilities:

  • Capture, maintain and update software maintenance support and license data for system validation as well as End of Support (EOS)/End of Life (EOL) data in the Software Support Activity (SSA) Internal Repository

  • Gather software requirements for procurement and renewals, validate contract status to ensure proof of support, and download URLs for each applicable software item

  • Assist in maintaining and updating a hardware internal repository for system validation and gathering hardware requirements for procurements and renewals

  • Enter asset specific and support data including serial number, current location, purpose, status, etc. as well as EOS/EOL information in the SSA Internal Repository.

  • Build hardware and software requirements and renewal packages for system verification, process system verifications, renewals (upon award) and upgrades to SSA Internal Repository

  • Maintain a functional website containing detailed asset information for hardware, software licenses, support for hardware and software, contract information, and DADMS/DITPR-DON records

  • Complete DADMS questionnaire forms for new adds, new versions, UIC associations, and Last Date Allowed (LDA) Extensions (aka Application Renewal Requests)

  • Update and maintain DADMS status associations in the SSA Internal Repository in addition to providing software updates and DADMS status to the Systems/Information Assurance/Integrated Logistics Support functions, for inclusion in technical documentation

  • Assist in mapping/un-mapping software to respective system DITPR IDs

  • Create and submit of waivers for Contractor Off The Shelf (COTS), Free and Open Source Software (FOSS), Government Off The Shelf (GOTS), Open Source Software (OSS), etc.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering (internships/COOPs can count).

  • Procurement contract management

  • Vendor support renewal experience

  • Proof of U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required due to government or federal requirement.

  • U.S. citizens ONLY due to government or federal requirement.
