Responsibilities:

  • As a Network Monitoring Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring serverhealth across the enclave.

  • Documenting outage information including actions taken to resolve the outage.

  • The Network Monitoring team monitors multiple server solutions which are a critical to the functionality of our users’ ability to perform their mission.

  • Monitor physical and virtual server performanceto achieve a defined ServiceLevel Agreements or SLAs.

  • Monitor network services: File Servers, Print services, Active Directory, and DNSProvide and maintain documentation of backup processes and retention periods .

  • Provide and test backup and disaster recovery processes and procedures.

  • Prepare and maintain written drawings, documentation, and reports.Work with vendors in the process of troubleshooting escalated incidents.

  • Work with Network and Systems Administrators for troubleshooting incident, Maintain, configure and utilize new and existing monitoring tools such as, SolarWinds NPM, DPA, IPAM, Stratosphere, Topaz.

Qualifications:

  • Security+ CE certification(DoD 8570 Compliant).

  • 5 years’ experience supporting a DoD network.

  • Degree is not required in lieu experience.

  • Experience with design, development test evaluation,networkprotocols, LAN administration fundamentals, and UNIXand/or Windows based operating system.

  • Vendor certification such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD)Microsoft Certified Applications Developer (MCAD), Microsoft Certified DatabaseAdministrator (MCDBA), Sun Certified. Professional (SCP), Red Hat CertificationProgram (RHCP), CISCOCertified Network Professional (CCNP), Oracle CertifiedProfessional(OCP) preferred.

  • RHEL/LinuxBuild and Server automation (Ansible preferred, Puppet, Chef, etc.).

  • VMwareMinimum.

  • DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II certification requirements.

  • U.S. citizens ONLY due to government or federal requirement.

  • Applicants selected for employment will be subject to a federalbackground investigation and must meet additional eligibility requirements for access to classified information or materials.

  • Secret clearance required.
