We are looking for a Safety Service Operations Manager in Omaha, Nebraska area. LOCAL candidates preferred. No relocation.

The Safety Service Patrol (SSP) Operations Manager supervises the program and daily activities of the SSP Operators, Assistant Foreman, Foreman and Trainers. They are in charge of all aspects of the program and are the main point of contact for their region typically encompassing a large sector of a state or metropolitan area.

NOTE: The supervisory responsibilities include the multiple sub-contractor SSP personnel under his/her command.


Position responsible for all aspects of the Safety Service Patrol (SSP) program to include daily operations, personnel, training, equipment, planning, policies, and logistics.

Oversee procurement, preparation, distribution and use of operational equipment, personal protective equipment and consumable associated with the SSP Program.

Assists in the development and maintenance of Operations Manuals and Standard Operations Guidelines

Participates in Traffic Incident Management activities, meetings and training.

Responsible for developing and sustaining positive professional and working relationships with regional first responder community.

Serves as member of Emergency Operations staff during inclement weather, natural disasters, and security related events.

Serves as the Point of Contact for all SSP related visits, media events, and tours

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Public Safety, Criminal Justice, Business Management, Operations, or comparable emergency management or transportation experience.

Typically 8+ years in the field or related area

Minimum 5 years' experience in a supervisory role including, but not limited to, supervising employees, making schedules, managing budgets, and daily operations.

Drivers license with excellent driving record.


Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel Power Point, Outlook)

Strong public speaking and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated management and leadership experience.
