Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Bridge/Structural Engineer-in-Training to join our team! In this role you will get to participate in a wide range of bridge inspection, design, analysis, and construction projects and can expect to master, practice, and expand your engineering knowledge, and create opportunities to propel your career forward
What You'll Be Doing:
Assist on a wide variety of small to large bridge rehabilitation and new design projects from concept through construction utilizing theoretical and practical design knowledge under the supervision of our design engineers.
Be part of a team performing inspections of existing bridges and other structures.
Help support the preparation of detailed engineering calculations and models, drawings, specifications, quantities and cost estimates, detailed technical reports, procurement documents, design packages, proposals, and detailed analyses.
Assist with providing technical engineering services during construction, including the review of contractor submissions and site inspections.
Collaborate with other Engineering disciplines and departments.
Work to tight project schedules while ensuring quality of project deliverables.
Travel locally within the National Capital Region for site inspections.
Work in the office as part of a team and remotely as required.
What Required & Experience Skills You'll Bring:
A Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related field) from a recognized post-secondary institution.
Previous relevant Co-op/Internship experience is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and collaborative skills.
Registered or eligible to be registered as an Engineer-In-Training (EIT) with Professional Engineers Ontario.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Possess a drive for continuous learning and personal development.
Literate in MS Office and 3D structural design/analysis software.
