Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Principal Electrical Engineer (Salary) to join our Southern California team! In this role you will get to apply mature engineering techniques and lead a team of designers and engineers.

Parsons will be hiring an experienced Electrical Engineer who can apply mature engineering techniques and lead a team of designers and engineers.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Function as discipline lead engineer on small to medium-sized projects, assuming responsibility for the work of the team electrical group.

  • Plan, direct, and supervise the work of a significant engineering unit or project requiring a substantial expenditure of manpower and financial investment.

  • Lead other engineers and design personnel in technical excellence and growth in Parsons’ Quality Improvement Process.

  • Provides technical expertise for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses.

  • Ensure compliance of design with project scope-of-work, applicable codes and standards, providing the seal and signature of the professional engineer when required by statute or contract.

  • Prepare material/equipment specifications, and materiel takeoffs for cost estimates (by others); reviews supplier data; witness shop tests.

  • Develop operation and maintenance Scopes of Work; develops design compliance procedures; prepare and may conduct on-site training of personnel.

  • Conducts site condition assessment surveys, studies, investigations, and preliminary design proposals.

  • Maintains affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologies.

  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and typically 10+ years of related work experience

  • Professional Engineer registration required.

  • Experienced Skills in electrical system modelling (SKM, ETAP)

  • Excel Worksheets

  • Familiarity with MicroStation, and/or Revit / AutoCAD

  • Experience/Knowledge in MEP / AEC industry

  • Able to be Security Cleared

  • ‘US Person

Salary Range:

$92,200.00 - $161,400.00
