Job Description:

Parsons seeks a talented, energetic, web developer with excellent communication skills to join our development team working on collaborative software technologies for the U.S. Army at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. The candidate will be experienced in development of dynamic, high performance web pages using the Angular framework and related technologies.   • Using the latest front-end technologies to create adaptable interfaces for web applications

  • Building and implementing web user interfaces using JavaScript/TypeScript and Angular

  • Writing efficient, maintainable JavaScript, HTML and CSS code

  • Identifying, troubleshooting, and remediating issues with front-end code

  • Providing code performance analysis and optimizing the existing code base

  • Designing, implementing, and analyzing RESTful services and APIs


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related software engineering discipline

  • A minimum of 2 years working in an Angular web development environment

  • Experience with unit tests, preferably utilizing Jasmine and Karma

  • Familiarity with Git, code reviews and pull requests

  • Knowledge of web-based services, software architectures, languages, and tools

Desired Qualification:

  • Experience with JSON, XML

  • Experience working with Agile methodologies in a software development environment

  • Experience using Atlassian developer tools such as Confluence, Fisheye and Bitbucket

  • Experience translating complex requirements into user experience

  • SQL database

  • Java back-end development

  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Certifications such as SecurityMust be a U.S. Citizen and hold or be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
