Parsons seeks a talented, energetic full-stack software engineer with excellent communication skills to join a development team working on cutting edge technologies for the U.S. Army at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. The candidate will be experienced in full stack software development utilizing Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) principles. Hybrid role, combination of remote and onsite work.
Feature enhancements, bug fixes, code reviews, build processes, and release documentation
Back-end development (Java, PostgreSQL)
Software Development Kit (SDK) implementation and maintenance
Application Programmer Interface (API) design and development
Participation in daily scrum standups, sprint and iteration demos, planning and retrospectives
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline
A minimum of 5 years working in a full stack development environment
Knowledge of web-based software architectures, languages, and tools
Experience working in a GitLab DevOps environment
Experience using Atlassian developer tools such as Jira, Confluence, Fisheye and Bitbucket
Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required. Current clearance preferred.
Familiarity with Linux-based systems
Experience using Apache NiFi
Experience with Kubernetes/Helm
Experience with Agile methodologies in a software development lifecycle (SDLC) environment
Client-side experience with AngularJS or similar framework
Experience creating and working with Virtual Machines (VMs)
Experience with cloud-based environments such as AWS
Experience with or knowledge of DoD messaging formats and protocols
Certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or Certified SAFe® Agile Software Engineer
