Parsons is currently hiring a Regional Manager for our Vehicle Inspection Compliance Program in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania.

Job Purpose: Supports operations objectives by monitoring regional staff; enforcing standards and procedures; meeting audit /budget numbers.

Essential job results can include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintains regional staff by managing office personnel and auditing department; supplying staff with needed equipment and supplies; addressing employee concerns; ensuring staff knowledge, training, professionalism, and efficiency.

  • Oversees typical regional office structure which includes; Overt Managers, Office Administration, Fleet Technician and appropriate field staff; Sub-contractor liaisons.

  • Maintains good employee morale by providing employee feedback, encouraging and aiding employee growth.

  • Ensures all office and auditing staff maintains a safe approach to all aspects of their working environment; encourages a safe workplace throughout the region including Parsons and sub-contractor employees.

  • Maintains open communications and dialog with Parsons sub-contractors; provides sub-contractor feedback and performance evaluations on contractual goals.

  • Maintains confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.

  • Achieves financial objectives by monitoring and controlling budgets; scheduling expenditures; adjusting supply of covert funds, as needed; providing innovative ways to reduce cost; innovative processes; discovering ways of procuring new business.

  • Ensures contractual requirements by meeting goals/numbers; contributing to required program reports by supplying needed information and approving text for region’s reporting requirements.

  • Maintains operations staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees; by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; by planning, monitoring, reviewing, and appraising job results; by scheduling and assigning employees; by following up on work results.

  • May be asked to public speak at industry related events on behalf of the client.

  • Maintain operations by conducting all staff meetings; attending auditor meetings; attending manager meetings; attending industry meetings; reviewing and approving all employee-meeting agendas; approving staff time off and time sheets; approving and reviewing expense and mileage reports.

  • Performs QA/QC of all accounts payable; regional payroll; covert funds; fuel purchases for region.

  • Implements direction by assisting with new programs, as needed; acting as liaison with Support Team to resolve regional issues.

  • Ensures all job functions are completed with a focus on safety and staffing adhere to Parsons commitment to a safe work environment practice.

  • Maintain operations by having the knowledge and ability to perform all regional tasks at a high level.

  • Oversees the maintenance of office fleet vehicles including repairs and evaluation of potential repairs.

  • Ensures company procedures and policies by evaluating and maintaining them; by providing input on ways to enhance procedures and policies.

  • Must possess a valid, clean drivers license

  • Driving company vehicles for repair, transfer, acquisition, road testing, etc... includes continuous drive times up 90 minutes.

  • Walking in and around vehicle inspection station repair and office areas, including up and down steps when necessary.

  • Frequent sitting/standing - accessing into and out of vehicles.

  • Lifting, pushing, moving and/or carrying objects up to 50 pounds (e.g vehicle parts, audit gas bottles, shop tools, tires/wheels).

  • Sitting and writing reports, typing reports into laptop computer.

  • Exposure to weather conditions - hot and cold temperatures. Exposed to vehicle repair shop environments.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing assigned and ad hoc tasks, as needed.

High School graduate or equivalent plus college degree in relevant field or equivalent experience. 3-4 years previous management experience; automotive background and emissions/safety inspection background a plus.
