Integration Test Project Manager
Parsons is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary teams performing advanced systems engineering, integration, operations and software testing functions. The Project Manager plans, coordinates and oversees team activities in an agile customer facing environment. They work daily with our customers to develop long term requirements and strategies for future work. They are responsible for all deliverables and reporting both to the customer and to Parsons management. They perform functional management of Parsons personnel including staff development, performance reviews, and retention.
·Meeting contractual performance criteria and due dates during service delivery and successful overall project completion
·Coordinating activities in support of Project activities and teams that support the testing, integration and operational requirements through completion preparing finished deliverables (e.g. status reports to the Customer and Parsons management).
·Ensuring technical solutions and schedules are implemented in a timely manner
·Analyzing workflow across project areas and working with the Customer in establishing priorities and developing standards and templates for work products (test plans, test reports, etc.)
·Coordinating and interfacing with Parsons other functional teams
·Identifying and implementing process improvements
·Helping improve efficiency across the enterprise
·Leading the team and ensuring continuing high performance
·Performing day-to-day functional and technical management of engineering staff, as appropriate
·Providing supervision, training, and direction to staff.
·Ensuring high-quality and acceptable project and engineering efforts are completed by the team
·Working with Parsons Program Manager to ensure personnel have the appropriate knowledge/skills to perform the assigned tasks
·Elevating issues to the Program Manager and documenting issues, as appropriate
·Providing input to PMRs and ad hoc reports, as required
·Providing weekly and monthly reports to the Customer
·Understanding the Customer’s mission and requirements
·Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with Customer management and technical staff and all partners
·Inform senior management early, frequently and appropriately about activities and issues
·Staying abreast of advances in technology and processes
· Tracking and forecasting task financials
· Prepare briefings, reports, and meeting summaries, including recommendations for corrective actions with ability to work in a team environment to accomplish tasks
· Support the Government by representing the interests of the Customer in working group forums,Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), and any other forums required by the Customer
15+ years related experience in defense industry supporting systems engineering tasks
BS in Engineering or Related Technical Degree
Candidate must possess an active TOP Secret Security Clearance
Experience in IC community strongly desired.
Ability to work and produce products in a rapid paced, high stress environment
Must be able to work independently as well as have strong interpersonal and team communication skills for liaising with leadership, peer lead systems engineer, and other senior team members
Proficiency with MS Office applications
BS degree Engineering required, Masters preferred from accredited institutions
Ability and willingness to travel, domestically, on occasion
Integration and Test Experience
Capable of performing as a member of a team and assisting with solving complex problems
Proficient in Microsoft Office, JIRA, Confluence
Self-starter with enthusiasm and capacity to learn in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional written and verbal skills required
