Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Quality Engineer/Specialist-Principal to join our team! In this role you will be working on vital infrastructure projects, ensuring safety and excellence for generations.

What You'll Be Doing:

Responsibilities:

  • As a pivotal member of our team, you will champion the enhancement and support of our Quality Systems, leveraging USACE Quality requirements and the ISO 9001 Standard as your guide.

  • Your expertise will drive contractor compliance, process development & optimization, and successful delivery.

  • Your role involves interfacing with project leaders, contractors, and vendors and regular interaction with representatives from a variety of functional groups, including program management, design/engineering, purchasing, construction, and other personnel.

  • Audit Excellence: Plan and execute comprehensive audit activities with precision. This includes scheduling, developing plans, reporting findings, and resolving issues to ensure compliance across all facets of our operations—from design and engineering to procurement and construction.

  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough Internal Quality Audits across offices, projects, and job sites. Manage follow-up activities diligently to assure adherence to Parsons standards as well as contractual and code requirements.

  • Continuous Improvement: Lead both internal and external Quality audits, presenting findings to management. Your keen analysis will identify trends in program quality based on a wide array of oversight results.

  • Supplier Qualification: Assist in conducting qualification audits for suppliers ensuring their services meet our rigorous quality standards.

  • Compliance & Engineering Review: Ensure all audited activities align with Parsons’ quality program alongside client requirements. Perform quality engineering reviews for design documentation ensuring compliance with specified requirements.

  • Safety & Compliance Verification: Advocate for safety awareness by adhering to established rules and participating in field audits as necessary. Verify that all Parsons' projects comply with internal quality standards as well as customer expectations.

  • Policy Development Support: Collaborate in refining our project Quality Processes & Procedures along with related documents ensuring they meet industry codes/standards.

  • Document Review & Approval: Assess various documents including quality manuals/procedures prepared by internal or external parties ensuring they meet stringent quality criteria before approval if required.

  • Collaborative Interface Management: Work closely with management on interfacing Quality activities between internal teams and external entities such as customers or suppliers.

  • Statistical Process Control & Guidance Provision: Implement statistical process control methods where applicable; offer technical guidance to junior Quality personnel when needed.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • 4-6 years of experience with a 4-year degree in Engineering, Business or Quality discipline.

  • Willing to accept 8-10 years of related work experience in the field of quality in leu of education requirement.

  • Required certifications include Lead Auditor (ISO 9001 or equivalent) or ASQ Certification (CMQ/OE, CQA or CQE)

  • US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Contractors Quality Management Certificate (CQM)

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in mechanical / electrical engineering (MEP)

  • Membership in a nationally-recognized Quality organization. Other related certifications may include, but are not limited to: Building Inspector, NQA-1 (nuclear auditor), NDT (ASNT),Possesses working knowledge of more than one area of industry such as infrastructure, government, aviation, process, or transportation.

  • A broad understanding across multiple areas including infrastructure related to national security services.

Salary Range:

$96,400.00 - $168,700.00
