Job Description:

Parsons is now hiring for an Associate Engineer who will complete a wide variety of engineering assignments by applying standard engineering techniques and analyses. The Engineer at this level is in a developmental mode, being trained under close supervision in the utilization of engineering theories and practices and gaining exposure to Company procedures. Assignment may be to a structured rotational program which would include experience in several Engineering disciplines. Some assignments involve CAD (computer aided design) applications.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Perform various engineering and design assignments requiring the application of basic principles and fundamental theories studied in a four-year university engineering program, and available data in the engineering field

  • Prepare or assist in preparing fundamental engineering computations, quantity takeoffs, estimates, and designs.

  • Assist in the preparation and issuance of specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents

  • Provide input to CAD Designers/Drafters working on the same project

  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

Your Skills & Qualifications:

  • 4-year degree in Civil Engineering (or related field); Master’s degree in Civil Engineering is preferred

  • 0-5 years of related work experience, preferably in TxDOT traditional delivery projects (Schematic/Env and/or PS&E)

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) registration in Texas is preferred

  • Solid foundational knowledge of basic software such as MicroStation OpenRoads SS 10, ORD, ProjectWise, and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred

  • Excellent writing and presentation skills

Salary Range:

$23.27 - $40.72
