We are adding an Associate Drainage Engineer to our team to support projects in Texas, and in our Western US region, so we are open to you working in the Texas or surrounding states. As a Drainage engineer with us, you will be engaged in the hydrologic and hydraulic design and analysis of all aspects of transportation projects for roadways, rail transit systems, bridges and airports. Work could include designs for culverts, storm drains, floodplains and grading. You will prepare and review drawings for final design, construction, detour, and erosion control and prepare and review design reports.
Key responsibilities include:
Perform quantity calculations and produce/check engineering analytical data and related information to assure the design and any technical reports are accurate.
Develop detailed calculations, drawings, specifications, procurement documents, design and installation packages, construction plans and documents, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses.
Utilization of relevant software packages for engineering design and analysis
4-year degree in Civil Engineering, Drainage, Hydraulics/Hydrology, or related field. Masters Degree or additional coursework preferred.
6 months to 3 years of related work experience with drainage and hydrology for roads and highways, bridges or Site Civil Engineering experience for Land Development is required.
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate is preferred.
Experience utilizing civil/drainage related design software. For example, experience with some or all of the following, will be considered : AutoCAD Civil3D and/or MicroStation V8i, Geopak, InRoads, StormCAD, EPA-SWMM, ArcGIS, SMS w/ SRH-2D, HydroCAD Storm Sewers, CivilStorm, Inroads Storm and Sanitary, HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS software, or other PC software packages typically associated with H&H engineering.
The anticipated annualized full time target compensation (median) for this position is: $65,000.00.Benefits for this position include: medical, dental, vision, paid time off, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and 401K.
