We are actively looking for someone with a passion for safety, and one who understands how to design new roads without stopping traffic! As we develop and implement innovative designs for highways, intersections, and interchanges, we need a strong engineer that understands the criticality of developing MOT scenarios, along with construction phasing plans for these changes. We look for entry level engineers with some experience in traffic control, traffic design and transportation planning, & engineers with a passion to improve the safety and capacity of the existing road and highway network around the state.

Responsibilities :

  • Work will include significant computer aided engineering and design, horizontal & vertical alignment design, estimating, quantity calculations, technical reports, plan details, and detailed engineering analyses.

  • Other duties may include, traffic engineering, signing/striping, and lighting. Candidate will interface with CAD designers, other engineers, and clients.

  • Completes a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes, utilizing CAE/CAD as applicable.

  • Prepares standard engineering computations, material quality takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.

  • Prepares schematic graphics for use in proposals, public meetings, and reports.

Qualifications:

  • 4-year degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)

  • 6 months to 3 years or more of related work experience in MOT/Traffic design.

  • In addition, an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate is preferred.

  • Familiarity with the following design software is also a plus: Microstation, Inroads, AutoCAD, Civil3D, and Excel.

  • Requires basic process engineering knowledge, as well as a working knowledge of CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering.

The anticipated annualized full time target compensation (median) for this position is: $65,000.00.Benefits for this position include: medical, dental, vision, paid time off, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and 401K.
