Under direct supervision, reviews and approves High Urgency cases. Acts as Incident Commander for High Urgency cases as directed. Performs root-cause analysis and supports the Service Desk, Change Manager and backend teams. Parsons extensive experience in this field, combined with your emerging experience in information technology will propel your career and leadership opportunities forward. Responsibilities:

  • Identify and classify problems and monitor their resolution. Coordinate follow-on tasks identified during the resolution process and ensure completion.

  • Investigate and diagnose problems using subject matter experts to assess and analyze root causes.

  • Define and implement criteria and procedures to report problems identified, including categorization and prioritization.

  • Perform proactive problem management. Collect and analyze operational data to identify emerging trends that may indicate problems.

  • Participate in and assist with the facilitation of ad-hoc and recurring meetings pertaining to problem management.

  • Provide recommendations for service improvements designed to reduce the number problems and improve customer satisfaction.

  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate and assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) and some relevant experience preferred

  • At least one Microsoft or Cisco Certification is preferred

  • A basic knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and applications as well as knowledge of personal computer technology and hardware

  • Knowledge of the MIS environment

  • Good customer service skills

  • An aptitude for identifying, analyzing and resolving common technical issues, and problems

  • Written and oral communication skills appropriate for the position, including the ability to speak well in professional situations (may include communication via telephone or in person)

  • Ability to write documents (may include email or memos)
