Senior Project Manager - Road/Highway Project Manager - Seller/Doer - Texas

Parsons has transformed over 100,000 miles of roads and highways all over the world and have been a leader in both conventional and Integrated design and delivery of civil infrastructure for more than 75 years. We are looking for a highly experienced Project Manager/ Seller/Doer to add to our team in Texas.You will have the flexibility to work from home near or in an office any of the following areas: Richardson/Dallas, Austin, Houston or San Antonio.

Our team is focused on helping TxDOT expand and improve their highway system through innovative design and providing solutions to tough challenges. Our recent work includes numerous IDIQ assignments for TxDOT as well as our work designing Mega-projects, including the IH-35E Expansion and SH-183 Midtown Express projects in Dallas, and the Grand Parkway, Segments F & G, and SH-249 Expressway projects in Houston. In all, these Mega-projects represent over $3.5B in highway improvements our Parsons team has designed for TxDOT.

Responsibilities :

  • As a Sr. PM, you will be expected to demonstrate technical excellence in road/highway design for TxDOT projects, and be a thought leader delivering complex projects, without sacrificing schedule and budget.

  • Your knowledge of TxDOT's design methods, goals and objectives will be instrumental in helping us win new work and execute projects to the clients' satisfaction.

  • As a 'seller', you will assist our BD team in identifying new opportunities within Texas, be instrumental in developing proposals and helping us win TxDOT PEPS opportunities.

  • Once awarded, you will oversee the execution of those projects. In this role, you will be responsible for the scope development, scope management and commercial performance of the project to meet project goals and objectives.

  • You will plan and define program goals and devise methods to accomplish them, as well as coordinate projects through all phases of project inception, programming, design, construction and closeout.

  • Additional responsibilities include, managing the client, and all change order processes, managing your dedicated engineering resources, overseeing subcontractors and partners, and managing business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of your programs. Qualifications:

  • 15 years or more of related project execution and/or program management experience on same or similar large scope design and construction management projects within Transportation (Road/Highway)

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience working on TxDOT projects is required

  • Incumbent should have a broad general technical and business background Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred. Ability and willingness to travel to support client and project teams

  • Knowledge of industry standards and must meet Parsons' project management certification requirements.
