Job Description:
POSITION OVERVIEW :
Performs varied professional accounting or financial work requiring the standardized application of well-established principles, theories, concepts, and practices. Makes day-to-day decisions concerning the treatment of financial transactions. Is expected to recommend solutions to complex problems and to propose system changes for approval at higher levels.
Develops sound, practical solutions to a wide range of accounting, financial, tax problems where guidelines are well-defined or to problems in one functional area where guidelines are less defined.
Assignments require continual use of discretion, resourcefulness, and independent judgment to resolve complex problems.
Competence in providing guidance and direction to others in more than one functional area.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES :
The Financial Controller will be responsible for the financial control operations of specific NEOM program operations within Saudi Arabian Parsons Limited. This role is handling the following responsibilities in ensuring proper Corporate Governance & policies are complied. It also collaborates and ensures support for Corporate functions like Legal, Risk, Operations, Operational Support and Sales organizations in MEA:
All financial accounting, forecasting and budgeting matters Management and statutory reporting in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS Manage Compliance and work collaboratively with Corporate Income Tax department Support internal and external auditors by coordinating information requirements and successful completion of audits per annual schedule Responsible for mentoring, development and evaluation of finance & accounting team members
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE :
Minimum Bachelor Degree Holder with professional Qualification such as ACA/CPA
Minimum 5 years of experience
Experience in MNC and /or Big 4 is strongly preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Independent self starter who is meticulous and resourceful team player
Proactive work attitude and highly committed
Ability to meet high standards and tight deadlines
Reasonable knowledge of local tax/statutory requirements
Strong Microsoft office and IS aptitude.
