Job Description:
The Head of Module HS&W Implements the company HS&W policy by establishing and managing a program. leading the development and implementation of communication strategies, driving the Project / Programs strategic HS&W promotion campaign activities, manage a team to successfully implement the pilot safety campaign.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Working across the project to develop a communication strategy that will help promote key changes in behavior in staff to improve safety outcomes
Managing all contracted services, such as advertising and market research agencies on work being undertaken
Developing a communication strategy that takes into account previous campaigns and strategies and considers new and innovative approaches
Developing and guiding the development of creative briefs as/if required, reviewing concepts and media plans, providing recommendations and feedback
Working cooperatively and collaboratively with internal stakeholders to develop and implement communication and campaigning strategies
Ensuring consistency of all messaging and ensuring it achieves the intended outcomes
Appropriate management of time and workload to ensure both delivery and quality of the position's responsibilities and deliverables
Providing strategic input and direction for the organization’s safety education and promotion campaigns to ensure a whole of branch approach to initiatives
Represents the company at national safety conferences.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
4-year degree in Construction or related field (or equivalent experience) and +20 years of related work experience in the field of Health and Safety, including some supervisory experience.
Experience in high level safety investigations.
Experience in safety Enforcement liaison
Excellent planning & organizing skills; able to devise and execute plans
Health or similar plus NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent CMIOSH or CMIEH CEnv desirable
