Parsons Corporation Risk Manager (Aviation) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Risk Manager to join our team who can support a team of professionals overseeing every phase of a large-scale aviation project. In this role you will lead, facilitate, administer and proactive management of risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring to contribute to successful project delivery. This is a highly accountable leadership role due to many critical relationships as a trusted advisor to senior clients, helping shape solutions and inform decisions.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management strategy for the project, aligning it with project objectives, stakeholder requirements, and industry best practices.

  • Develops standard operating procedures for the risk management of the program, including risk identification, qualitative and quantitative risk assessments.

  • Ensure consistent and effective risk management across the project and oversee the implementation of risk management processes, tools and techniques.

  • Collaborate with project teams and subject matter experts to oversee risk workshops, analyze risks, and quantify their potential impact on project objectives. Manage and monitor project teams to define appropriate risk mitigation strategies, action plans, and contingency plans.

  • Provide guidance and training on risk management principles, techniques, and best practices.

  • Engage with stakeholders to communicate risk-related information, facilitate risk discussions, and obtain buy-in for risk management initiatives.

  • Facilitate lessons learned sessions to capture risk-related insights and feedback from the project.

  • Responsible for risk management of all external and third-party approvals.

  • Responsible for working closely with client and delivery partners for integrated risk management approaches, including authorities and any/all interested parties.

  • Reports risk management issues to the Project Controls Director, the Senior Management and the Client and develop appropriate recommendations/resolutions/mitigations as necessary.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies related to risk management.

  • Lead and mentor a team of risk management professionals, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.

  • Promote a strong risk-aware culture and a proactive risk management mindset within the project team and stakeholders.

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment to ensure the successful implementation of risk management activities.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelors in Engineering, Architecture or equivalent from an accredited university.

  • Minimum 15 years’ experience, including 10+ years in risk management on construction projects.

  • Accredited certification in risk management is required.

  • Chartered Engineer status is ideal.

  • GCC experience is preferred.

  • Experience on major Aviation and/or Transportation (Rail) programs.

  • Must function effectively under time constraints, schedule workload to meet deadlines, and have the ability to prioritize.

  • High-level understanding and appreciation of risk management in complex risk environments and within the major program sector, preferably within the KSA.

  • Ability to work in a matrix organization (dual reporting). Ability to interact with an influence senior-level management. Ability to consult, motivate, and negotiate effectively with client groups, co-workers, employees, vendors, and contractors.

  • Strong organization and follow through abilities.

  • Strong business judgment.
