Job Description:
Ready to use your technical skills in a Security Specialist position? Are you experienced with a variety of techniques and analyses within the Safeguards and Security (S&S) technical area? Parsons is now hiring a Security Coordinator, with emerging experience in all aspects of the security disciplines including personnel, physical, operations, industrial, communications, information, and information technology security.
Overview:
In this role you will administer and manage the Parsons Security Program, size $100 to $250 million, providing policies, plans, procedures, departmental instructions, and technical support of safeguards and security (S&S) programs to protect client security interests. The Security Coordinator leads and manages the security functions, programs, processes and procedures for Parsons on the project.
Responsibilities:
Reviews and audits security procedures and plans on the project.
Maintains relationships with diplomatic security personnel, security organizations and roundtables, and other security professionals within the region.
Provides regular updates (written and verbal) to Parsons Security and/or senior management on risk levels and analysis, including information on current crimes, terrorist threats, and health and/or public safety issues.
Investigates, or oversees the investigation of, incidents or threats involving Parsons personnel including dependents on the project.
Assists in the identification and selection of security providers for Parsons owned or operated facilities; ensures that employee/vendor security training occurs, as appropriate.
Reviews, recommends and implements policies and procedures relating to the internal and external integrity of security systems and personnel.
Ensures effective operation of security and equipment and devices procured by Parsons to include badging and access control equipment.
Develops staffing plans as required and ultimately identify appropriate security and safety vendors, and manages those relationships.
Coordinates and supports the implementation of global facility security standards within Parsons
Qualifications:
Proven leadership skills.
Excellent written and verbal communications.
Expertise in security/protection practices, terrorist threat assessment, surveillance/security technology and conducting investigations.
Crisis management skills and experience.
Sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
Ability to build consensus among multiple constituencies and interact effectively at all levels.
Minimum 15 years of security management, and/or military/law enforcement experience with a substantive blend of field and corporate/government experience
International private sector work experience.
