Parsons Corporation Senior Construction Manager in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Construction Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to manage all on-site field construction activities associated with the execution of a group of small to medium-size projects (up to 300M SAR). The nature of the Projects is related with the Rail Industry (Civil, Architectural, EMP, Track, Rail Signaling - Telecommunication – Electrification). Applies a comprehensive knowledge of various disciplines to be used during construction, testing & commissioning, handover and project close-out.
What You'll Be Doing:
The construction and handover of Projects in a specific Region
The construction supervision of all the works until the completion and handover
The management of multiple site teams of Resident, Project Engineers, engineers, surveyors, safety officers and inspectors
The familiarization with the contract requirements of all projects in his/her area
The knowledge of all the technical issues
The proposal of Value Engineering Methods which can speed up and improve the progress and quality.
The support and advise to the regional Program Manager
The proposal and implementation of procedures, standards and processes which will enhance the execution and handover of implementation.
prepare reviews and Progress reports and presentations for his area.
To collect, review, evaluate all the site Progress Reports.
To repot the progress of all sites to the Regional Program Manager and to the Deputy Projects Delivery Director
Ensure effective implementation of all Company and client policies and procedures, including labor relations policies.
To discuss with his/her site teams in order to Identify critical issues and delays and propose mitigation plans to the Regional Program Manager and to the Projects Delivery Director
To conduct performance evaluations and recommends promotions and salary actions.
Implement and cultivate the teamworking and collaborative spirit all times for all his/her teams and colleagues.

Apply and supervise the Safety Regulations (as per the Safety management Plan)
Motivate and enable all the site staff to apply the “zero accident” policy
Apply and supervise high standards in Quality (as per the Quality Management Plan)
Motivate and enable all the teams to apply “Right First Time” policy
Direct the site teams of PMCM Consultant for a productive and efficient supervision of works
Direct the overall planning of construction activities to identify critical milestones and priorities
Review and validate Construction Plans and be able to propose improvements.
Analyze and improve Planning Schedules
Create and apply Inspection Plans of Materials and Works
Communicate effectively with Contractors and Consultants
To propose methods and means to promote the construction works
To evaluate and support the estimation of Construction Budget
To review and approve Methods of Statements and Material submissions
To review and approve shop-dwgs based on the approved design
To review and approve Bill of Quantities executed on site
Negotiate effectively with Contractors for the benefit of the Project and the Client.
Manage big teams of engineers and inspectors.
Ensure the use of sound construction practices
Use organizational and management skills to finish the projects on-time and on-budget
Convey technical knowledge to his sub-ordinates and engineers with less experience
Lead by example at any time or circumstances under urgency or crisis.
Solve any kind of construction problems with the collaboration of the Design Engineers
What Desired Skill You'll Bring:
Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Civil or EMP Engineering or Architectural or Construction Management, and typically 10+ years of experience in field construction is required with at least 5 years’ experience of similar position as Contractor. Experience in the construction of large civil/structural and/or industrial projects at domestic and/or foreign locations is preferred.
Requires a comprehensive knowledge of construction-related processes, as well as a thorough knowledge of industry practices. Proven leadership and management capability is also required, as well as good written and oral communications skills in English. Arabic speaker will also be appreciated.
