What you'll be doing:

  • Responsible for all Engineering interface management and associated engineering coordination activates associated with the Infrastructure Delivery Partner roles, responsibilities, and projects of Qiddiya City in conjunction and coordination with Development and other Delivery Partner teams.

  • Supports Engineering Management organizational and administrative activities as required by the Engineering Management Director.

  • Lead the planning and initial site set-up and production of the Engineering Interfaces Management Plan, integrated with the city and program engineering plans to give a city-wide approach.

  • Develops Standard operating procedures for technical interfaces and ensure that QIP follow them so there is operational consistency across the program.

  • Ensures and assures consistency in the execution of supply chain design and construction in accordance with Client technical requirements.

  • Coordinate with other delivery partners (Jacobs and Mace), as well as QIC and all existing contractors, and future planned procurement of major contractors.

  • Plan and implement strategies and approaches in accordance with the completed and approved Engineering Interfaces Management plan.

  • Leads on unusually complex civil engineering problems across program interfaces and provides solutions that are highly creative, in coordination with project and engineering leads.

  • Facilitates partnerships with key stakeholders/organizations impacted by the program.

  • Assigns work to employees, oversees, and tracks the completion of work assignments.

  • Agrees scope, budget and schedule for remote engineering services in support of QIP tracks the completion of work orders.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Specialisms in either (preferably both) Transportation and Utilities sectors are essential, as is a qualification and chartered status in Engineering.

  • Proven ability for managing a large group of engineering/technical interfaces and personnel and directing work involving complex technical situations.

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required.

  • Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and the capabilities and efficiencies of engineering software for use in completing engineering interface management and coordination.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Chartered Engineer with a minimum of Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Engineering discipline),

  • Masters Degree and/or PhD will be an added advantage.

  • Minimum 15-20 years experience performing, monitoring, reviewing and presenting detailed functions with demonstrated skill in establishing and successfully implementing Engineering Management.

  • Experience and demonstrated skill in supervising overall project engineering interfaces and activities in Transportation and Utilities sectors.

  • Knowledge of engineering, construction, and business management techniques customarily acquired by prolonged course of specialized instruction, particularly within specified sub-disciplines of function as listed.

  • Knowledgeable of current industry and technical development and International design codes is required.
