We are looking for a great leader to drive growth and performance improvement within our central Texas market focused on transportation and public works clients.If you are the right one for us, you understand the complexities of working with TxDOT, have a passion for mentoring and leading teams of engineers and enjoy heavy client development and interaction! Our goal is to expand our presence and grow our market share in Central and West Texas.

In this role, you will be a seller / doer; we want to leverage your technical expertise, business savvy and market relationships to grow our portfolio of design services with key clients in Central TX, especially TxDOT San Antonio District, TxDOT Austin District, and SAWs. Additional clients in central and west Texas may be included within the portfolio of assigned clients.In addition, you will assist in the operational management of the office, provide oversight and direction to multi-disciplined teams, and drive projects to successful completion. You will help Parsons strengthen market share by meeting and exceeding client expectations with your own knowledge and contacts in this critical area of transportation engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the Company representative with the client and selected subcontractors during the program execution. Negotiates contracts. Collaborates with Business Development to market and secure new work with client to achieve area sales goals. Responsible for following up on instructions and commitments associated with the project. Participates in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings in support of clients.Leads client management plans, and strategic growth plans for assigned clients. Serves as capture manager and/or serves as key participant on pursuit capture teams.

  • Plans, directs, supervises, and controls the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functionsfor assigned clients. Assigns responsibility for executing project plans to key subordinates after careful assessment of how to utilize their qualifications and strengths. Provides input to performance reviews and development plans for subordinates.

  • Mobilizes company resources, through liaison with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries, to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality work. Discusses the qualifications required of the key project positions in specific detail with appropriate regional and technical leadership. Collaborates with the office facilities staff to address project space requirements.

  • Promotes technical and commercial excellence on the project through application of Quality Assurance processes. Ensures compliance with company and client quality programs. Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or schedule.

Qualifications:

  • 4-year degree in Engineering (or related field)

  • 20+ years of related work experience, including supervisory/managerial experience

  • Experience working with and managing TxDOT projects.

  • Managerial experience of a large group of Engineers, Designers, and technical support personnel

  • Professional Engineer registration

  • Proven ability for marketing, client service, and selling engineering services

  • Directing work involving complex technical situations
