Parsons is building a task-oriented team to work on several significant projects for the Federal Government’s infrastructure.

This assignment is a multi-faceted engagement to support the facilities condition assessments (FCAs) and refurbishment and renovation of existing facilities, electrical equipment and systems. In this role, the candidate will apply engineering principles and proficiencies in electrical One-Line Diagrams, engineering specifications, schematics and industry standards. You will work in a Design-Build AE team environment with architects and other engineers to prepare work scope docments, demolition and new-work electrical plans and details. Duties will also include interdiscipline review and checking of drawings, providing technical input on specifications suitable for electrical procurement and system installation.

Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will use client directives and apply engineering principals and skills to prepare design layouts and plans, details of various electrical equipment and systems, perform engineering calculations, and assist in developing bid and contract documents.

  • Candidate will be instrumental in designing and producing plans and documents for electrical control, equipment, power generation and electrical systems for process, infrastructure and health complex buildings.

  • This position may also entail preparing schedules, budgets and status reports.

  • Good communication and willingness to join a team will be keys to your success.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of related electrical engineering experience on commercial and industrial multi-use buildings

  • BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution

  • Working knowledge of NFPA 70

  • Revit experience: 7/10 skill level

  • Proficient in use of AutoCAD MEP 2015 or more recent version

  • Able to do own engineering and own CAD/Revit work

  • Able to start by August 1 st , 2018

  • Good communication skills are needed, this position will interact with the client

  • Design-build experience is a plus

  • Experience with existing building renovations

  • Work location: Bandera Road, San Antonio, TX

  • Engineer-in-Training (FE) required, PE registration is a career development objective for this candidate. PE is a plus.

  • Work Hours: M-F 8-5, half-day Fridays available

  • Proof of U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is requireddue to government or federal requirement.

  • LEED Certification is a plus.
