Job Description:

Ready to put your administrative skills to work with a team of professionals working to build a better environment for our community? Parsons is now hiring a Senior Administrator for our Camp Stanley field office. Located in Boerne, Texas, this will be your opportunity to stretch your administrative, clerical, and organizational skills within a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities: Provide administrative support to Camp Stanley’s Environmental and Engineering Offices which are staffed by both DoD civilians and multiple contractor organizations, including Parsons. Duties involve performing a full range of administrative, clerical, and environmental-related tasks.

General office support functions include providing assistance to the Camp Stanley Environmental and Engineering Program Managers and Office staff, receiving calls and visitors, processing mail for distribution, coordinating appointments, meetings, conferences, and post access requests, and providing procedural and grammatical quality checks on outgoing correspondences.

Additional responsibilities include data and information gathering involving the compilation, tracking, and summation of data collected for Camp Stanley environmental programs and projects such as required for pollution abatement, compliance, and monitoring and sampling projects and inventories; generating and maintaining associated environmental files, correspondence, forms, and reports; maintaining environmental property inventories; processing and managing purchase orders for equipment and supplies through the Parsons and Camp Stanley procurement offices; and responding to external and internal requests for program information.

This position also requires assisting higher-level environmental personnel in areas of assignment and involves independent performance of limited assignments in prescribed areas of the environmental program. Facility environmental program compliance includes Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, Clean Air Act, EPA Voluntary Consent Order and other compliance evaluation inspection requirements. Primary Contacts include senior installation management, environmental attorney advisor, federal, state and local environmental administrators to include US Environmental Protection Agency, Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, Texas Parks & Wildlife, US Fish & Wildlife, US Geological Survey, companies contracted for environmental project support, and locally managed waste treatment and disposal companies.

Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Position will require completion of a Secret Security Clearance upon hiring.


  • Associates Degree in Business (or equivalent) and typically 8+ years of experience in an administrative capacity, preferably in the assigned area of specialty.

  • Strong written and verbal communication, time management, reporting, scheduling, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in keyboard skills and the utilization of MS Windows, MS Office, presentation software, and related word processing, spreadsheet, and database software is required.

  • A familiarity with company policies and procedures is preferred, as well as a demonstrated ability to administer a variety of activities simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
