Job Description:
Parsons is seeking an Electronics Maintenance Technician to support a large DoD maintenance contract for electronic security and other network based communications and surveillance systems. The ideal candidate will be able to follow written maintenance procedures, document results, troubleshoot equipment failures, coordinate with customer representatives, manage time to accomplish required tasks, and maintain professional communication habits, and will also be familiar using a tablet or computer to access system and trouble ticket records and enter data.
Other responsibilities:
Maintaining, cleaning and repairing equipment, cabling, computers, servers and rack equipment, and power supplies; and installing, repairing, rebuilding, and maintaining in efficient operating condition a wide variety of devices, infrastructure, and mechanical equipment designed for use in security applications at US DoD facilities.
Requirements:
5+ years installing or maintaining electronic systems
High School Diploma or equivalent
Up to 50% travel
US Citizen
Desired / Preferred:
DoD experience
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
Safety certifications / training (fall protection / equipment operator)
Experience in test procedures or system design plans / schematic
Access Control Systems - Lenel, Vindicator, AMAG
Video Management/Surveillance Systems - Milestone, Bosch, Axis, Pelco
Intrusion Detection Systems - DMP
Network switches and copper / fiberoptic infrastructure and connectors
Mass Notification / PA systems - Federal Signal
Maintain Automated Vehicle Gates/Barriers, Pedestrian gates / turnstiles
Video Walls or other A/V equipment
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Ability to climb ladders
Ability to climb a tower (on some job sites)
